Ryan Hall for Asics
Ryan Hall announced today that he will compete in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on October 9, 2011. This will be Hall’s first appearance at the Chicago Marathon. He was scheduled to run last year, but pulled out last minute after struggling with some injuries. Hall is coming off an amazing performance, placing fourth and earning the fastest American time, at the 2011 Boston Marathon with a time 2:04:58.
“I’m feeling good and looking forward to running the flat Chicago course,” says Ryan Hall. “It will be interesting to see how the times translate out there.”
Hall has been sponsored by ASICS since 2005. He currently holds the record for the fastest Olympic Men’s Marathon Trial (2:09:02) in 2008 and the fastest marathon time ever by an American (2:04:58) at the 2011 Boston Marathon.
